Julia Nelson

Founder/Pet Sitter
Hi! I’m a student at the University of South Carolina and a proud member of the IHSA Equestrian Team. I founded All Tails Pet Care with the goal of providing animals with the love, care, and attention they deserve, and that I know I would want for my own pets. Animals have always been a central part of my life—I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, horses, chickens, and rabbits, and I was an active member of both Dog and Equine 4H clubs in Somerset County as a kid. I continue to care for animals both at home and at school. My experience includes pet sitting for dogs, cats, horses, chickens, and rabbits, as well as working as a dog walker. I’ve even fostered a dog while attending college, balancing the responsibility with my studies and team commitments. Whether your pet is big or small, furry or feathered, I bring a lifetime of animal care experience, a genuine love for animals, and a dependable, compassionate approach to every pet I look after. I’m always open to caring for new kinds of animals and would love the opportunity to meet yours!
Danielle Nelson

Pet Sitter
Danielle is a dedicated and compassionate animal lover. Growing up in a home full of animals—including dogs, horses, chickens, and rabbits—she has gained hands-on experience from an early age, in addition to learning animal care through various 4H clubs. . Under the guidance of her older sister, she has learned the importance of reliable and attentive pet care. Whether she’s walking dogs, helping with feedings, or spending time with animals to make them feel at ease, Danielle brings a calm, caring presence to every job and has aspirations to go into the veterinary field.. Her natural connection with animals and eagerness to help makes her a valuable part of the team.
Chris Nelson

Pet Sitter
Chris is a dedicated and caring animal lover. He has inspired his daughters, Julia and Danielle, when it comes to working with animals — and we are lucky to call him both a teammate and Dad. With decades of experience caring for everything from Dogs to chickens, bunnies, and fish, Chris brings calm confidence and deep knowledge to every visit.
He’s especially attentive to detail and has a real gift for handling pets with special needs or tricky care routines. Whether it’s a shy cat, a senior dog, or a flock of chickens, Chris approaches each animal with patience, precision, and genuine care. He treats every pet like they’re his own and he’s a valued member of our team and a favorite among four-legged (and feathered!) clients.
Why did we create All Tails Pet Care?
After an extremely poor experience using a commercial pet sitter, and the pet-care retirement of a trusted family friend, our family was left with very limited to no options for pet care while away traveling. Loving animals as we do, we have 4 dogs, a flock of chickens and 2 bunnies! This inspired us to create All Tails Pet Care and solve this problem for other pet families— we understand needing care for ALL of your animals, rather than having multiple people in and out of your home, as well as having some pets that aren’t typically cared for by other sitters. We hope to provide dependable and customized care to each of your pets while maintaining the quality we would care for our own, from our family to yours.

We are a proud member of The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS)
Why is it important to hire a certified NAPPS pet sitter?
Because not every pet sitter is equally professional and competent.
- NAPPS pet sitters have made an investment in their clients and their business.
- NAPPS pet sitters who also volunteer for NAPPS show that they are taking a leadership role in the pet sitting industry.
- NAPPS members can network with pet sitters across the country to get ideas, ask questions, and stay informed.
- NAPPS pet sitters have free education and resources at their fingertips which they can use to take the very best care of your pets.
- NAPPS promotes their members' professional integrity through its Pledge of Professional Conduct.
- NAPPS also advances members' professional and business development through an Annual Conference, educational tools and a certification program.
Why should you choose a NAPPS Certified pet sitter?
The certification program is a broad-range and in-depth self-paced course covering all topics relevant to pet sitting, including pet care, health, nutrition and behavior for a variety of animals. It also includes pet safety and a complete pet first aid course.
Certification acknowledges that the pet sitter is a serious professional who has obtained a level of expertise through personal study. Once, the couse of study has been completed and a passing score on the examination has been achieved, pet parents can be assured of a meaningful credential.
